INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY COUNSELING

Understanding the addiction of a loved one can be hard. Here at Intervent we believe that it is important not only to counsel the addict but the family as well. Family support is a vital component of the recovery process. This often requires finding their own support network and 12 step recovery process.  We assist families in identifying the effects addiction has had on them, some of the maladaptive ways they have attempted to cope, and how to engage their own recoveries.

THIS PROCESS INCLUDES:

1. Alanon attendance and sponsorship
2. Identifying and setting boundaries with person of concern
3. The recognition and cessation of enabling behaviors
4. Ongoing interaction/dialogue with Intervent staff
